We can help you treat dad (and mum) to a few days of inner city luxury and fun. Darlinghurst is a great base for exploring Sydney’s delights and we will make sure they won’t get board.
Our team will make sure every day is full of interesting stuff to do – or alternatively give him space to relax.
Dad won’t need a car because the highlights are all close by, he can walk to just about everything that takes his fancy.
• If he is into architecture he will find some of the city’s landmarks, from the historical (the Darlinghurst goal and the iconic Iona) to the contemporary (Harry Seidler’s Horizon and the Garvan Institute).
• If the arts are his passion, there are a plethora of galleries, museums and antiquities.
• If he is an insomniac, the buzz of the Cross is just a stroll away and the place has never been safer for tourists.
• If he prefers to smell the roses, parks are aplenty, including Ruchcutters Bay and the extraordinary Botanical Gardens.
• If reading is his thing, Darlo has many interesting book shops and curiosity shops for antique manuscripts and retro collectables.
• If he delights in a well deserved ice cold beer, no worries. We’ll usher him to the cool Darlo Bar across the road or the larger Green Park around the bend for his on tap favourites.
• If he is a gourmet? Well that’s easy, we will direct him to the enormous selection in our aura. Darlinghurst is a hub for food and beverage in Sydney’s fringe and we have a concise list in or compendium.
Lastly, dad may just wish for some quite time and we truly respect that. Our sunny courtyard with its soft pastel colours and lovely reflection pool is a great place to ponder – or maybe dad would like to just put his feet up in the comfort of his room.
