Interior architect David Katon, of renowned Australian design team BKH, revamped the original basic structure into a contemporary beach home that is simple and relaxed. The small house has an inside/outside appeal, encapsulated in a generous open-plan lounge/dining area that opens out to the pool deck and beach. Large 600 x 600 black slate stone floors and a fresh white palette dominates the interior, which features modernist designer pieces (note the iconic Fritz Hansen chairs) giving dramatic contrast to the tropical greenery, sandy beaches and turquoise sea. Louvered glass walls and a central breezeway ensure the house is always fresh.
Oak Beach is arguably the most desirable beach in the area due to its privacy, soft white sand and pristine condition.
