Serendip is the Persian name for Sri Lanka and this exotic influence is evident through this special beach house. Inspired by the Dutch colonial plantation homes of the early 1900s, original antiques from the far east, with a focus on Sri Lankan design, make for a truly beautiful and welcoming holiday atmosphere.
The dark hues of polished timber floors and hand-crafted collectables, including the four-poster beds, sit perfectly with fresh vivid white walls, window shutters and wafty soft furnishings. The main living areas have sparkling views of the ocean – the best of which is from the curved windowed sunroom and lounge area. Outdoor spaces include a generous undercover lounging area, dining table, daybeds and private gardens with manicured lawn. Indoors and out, this is a house with plenty of nooks and crannies for couples or groups craving space and relaxation.
Serendip is a Palm Beach weekender reminiscent of the first homes on the northern peninsular in 1930s and 1940s, yet its eastern influence, modern conveniences and laid back elegance make it an idyllic retreat of a very romantic kind. Truly Paradise Found.
